How the ‘Gilly Can Cook’ Blog Came To Be.

Artistry and skill are the hallmarks of great editing and cooking. Inspired by a year in lockdown, this Hollywood film editor has become as passionate about cutting veggies as cutting films. The meals became the movie, the kitchen became the cutting room, the ingredients became the inspiration, and hopes for a culinary blockbuster, the happy ending.

Encouraged by friends who said, “Your food photos are great. You should start a blog.” I’ve done just that. Taking my love of cooking and photography, I started a blog and named it Gilly Can Cook: simple snacks & elegant eats.

When I was an 8-years-old, I cooked dinner for my family of six, an intricate meal of lamb chops, baked potato, and Brussels sprouts. My mother guided preparation, timing, and flavors and inspired my passion for fine dining forever.

My Gilly Can Cook goal is to guide your edible journey from vegan fare to fresh creations, comfort food to gourmet meals. Cooking should be joyful, not stressful.
