Classic and Sensational Caesar Salad
This Caesar is one of those “simple” recipes I’ve been trying to get perfect for years. I finally did. Now I make it a lot. I worked hard to reverse engineer it from both the famous Musso & Frank Grill in Hollywood and the original Mexican Caesar recipe.

Notes
This recipe makes enough dressing for one more salad for 2. If serving 4 people, add another head of lettuce and extra croutons.
This recipe stays pretty loyal to the Original Mexican Caesar, which ironically may not have included anchovies at all. I love anchovies, so my recipe includes them on the salad but not in the dressing, in case your guest does not like it.
PURCHASE NOTE: These are a few of my favorite things.
-This California olive oil was the highest-rated overall by America’s Test Kitchen, and it’s not expensive.
-These Agostino anchovies were rated the best by Serious Eats. It is also helpful that they come in a jar because you can reuse them after opening. And they are not expensive. Enjoy!
