Epic and Amazing BLTC
Easy to make, filling, delicious, and packed with protein and fresh flavors. This sandwich might be the most satisfying bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese sandwich you will ever eat. Try adding a fried egg or avocado to make it even more epic!
John Montagu, the Fourth Earl Of Sandwich, invented the eponymous food in 1762. A notorious gambler, he would not leave the gaming table to eat. He asked for meat and a couple of pieces of bread to throw dice with one hand and eat with the other. No knife or fork required. The first sandwiches were gambling food: something easy to eat without utensils.

- Fry bacon slices until crispy – set aside on paper towel.
- Toast the bread, spread each piece with mayonnaise, build with tomato slices, cheese, bacon and lettuce.

Notes
I love this sandwich. I like it for breakfast too with a fried egg. Sometimes I add slices of avocado to ratchet up the epic!
Serve this with chips, a dill pickle, and sparkling water with lemon. Simple, nutritious, and delicious.
